Areas of Support
The Office of Compliance is committed to helping ensure that Emory University's activities comport with the highest legal and ethical standards. The Office operates as a facilitator, an educator, and as a resource center for Emory University.
The Compliance Office provides assistance that includes:
- Education programs and training courses on regulatory requirements, compliance obligations, best practices and ethical decision-making
- Responding to compliance questions
- Pursuing concerns regarding regulatory compliance efforts of the University
- Compliance reviews and risk assessments
- Facilitation projects with organizational units to improve compliance
- Management of confidential Trust Line reports
- Investigations into allegations of noncompliance or unethical conduct
- Referrals to appropriate Emory sources of help and information
- Responding to questions about organizational compliance and/or ethics
- Safe harbor consultations
